As mobile technology continues to evolve, and businesses and consumers alike are getting more accustomed to it, telecommuting is fast becoming a more profitable way to get work done. Not only is this true for the companies that support such positions, it offers great benefits to their off-site employees, as well.
But, telecommuting isn’t the only sector that has been taking off. The number of self-employed professional freelancers and contractual workers has been steadily rising over the past 10 years. As of 2016, the total number of self-employed workers aged 21 and over totals nearly 40 million here in the U.S. Alone. In 2015, nearly 3 million of these mobile workers earned more than $100,000 for their work. Not too shabby!
And, that brings me to the topic of this article: I wondered what are the highest paying freelance jobs out there for those who work online. So, I decided to do a little research and find out…
You actually may be (pleasantly) surprised at just how many online freelance jobs will allow you to earn a decent living- especially if you have a professionally trained skill- while enjoying all the other benefits of freelance work, such as flexibility and independence.
So without further adieu, here is my list of the 10 highest paying freelance jobs in 2018:
